UPCOMING VOLUNTEER EVENTS
Please join us for a tour of the Sunnyvale SMaRT Station (the sorting facility for Mountain View and Sunnyvale solid waste) on Monday, November 17th. The tour will start at 10:30 am and will last approximately 1-1.5 hours. During the tour, we will see and learn firsthand what happens to all of the materials collected from curbside bins. The tour also ties in nicely with the topics covered in our kindergarten Zero Waste Heroes lesson that we are currently teaching. We need to have a minimum of 15 participants, and a maximum of 25 (there are still a few spaces left!). Please RSVP if you'd like to attend and indicate if you will be carpooling with us from the Los Altos School District office at 9:45am or meeting us at the facility at 10:30am.

Please join us on Thursday 12/4 from 10-11:30am for a tour of The Foster Museum in Palo Alto! Our tour will begin with a museum orientation to provide some historical context and introduce the art of Tony Foster. We will then be given a tour of the museum's featured exhibitions, as well as having some time to explore on our own and gain inspiration from Mr. Foster's incredible watercolor wilderness Journeys.
For our returning volunteers and staff, we hope that this tour will build upon your past experience with our nature journaling workshop. For all participants, we hope that the tour will spark your imagination as to what is possible when creating art in (and about) nature.
Please RSVP if you plan to attend and indicate if you will be carpooling from the Los Altos School District Office at 9:30am or meeting us at the museum at 10am.

On Monday, December 8th, Living Classroom will be holding its annual Holiday Party together with our friends from the Living Classroom Non-Profit Organization. This year's event will be held from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the home of Living Classroom Founder Vicki Moore in Los Altos. The event will be a potluck, so please sign up here to indicate what dish you'd like to bring along to share! We look forward to celebrating the holidays with you! Hope to see you there!
