Living Classroom is seeking volunteers to teach our fun nature-based lessons and help care for our school gardens. Volunteering is fun and no experience is necessary as we teach you everything you need to know! Please join us from 10-11:30am on Monday 8/18 at the LASD iLearn Studio to learn more about volunteering. Please join us on Monday 8/25 from 10-11:30am at Shoup Park for our annual Fall Social and Seed/Plant/Produce exchange. New and returning volunteers are invited to join us for a fun morning of socializing and refreshments to kick off the new school year. It's a great opportunity for our volunteers to connect after the long summer break and meet some of our new volunteers. Feel free to bring any extra produce, seeds, and/or plants from your home garden to share (optional). Refreshments will be provided. Hope to see you there! Interested in becoming a docent or caring for a school garden? No experience with teaching? Don't have a green thumb? We provide fun training sessions that teach you everything you need to know. Once trained, we ask our volunteers to commit to teaching 4 lessons a month during the school year. Learn more about our Docent Training Program.
